Beautiful Wooden Rugs That Amazingly Drape & Crumple Like Fabric
German designer Elisa Strozyk has found a way to “weave” ingenious wooden rugs that drape, crumble and in general, look amazingly like real fabric. Her gorgeous and colorful creations feature eye-catching geometric patterns and are made up of many triangular pieces of dyed wood that have been carefully arranged and fitted together.
Each triangular piece is moveable on all sides, which makes the rug very flexible—its unique construction enables users of the rugs to either lay them flat on the floor, or crumple them up into intriguing sculptural forms. The innovative designer has also used this clever technique to create wood textiles and carpets—view more of her interesting work on her website.
